That simply stops them from right-clicking. It doesn't stop them from viewing the page source and grabbing the url from there. Or going to Tools > Page Info in your browser and grabbing it.

On the site where you saw "http://www.exampledomain.com/images/blank.png" when you right-clicked, what about the page source or Page Info? Didn't the real url show up there?
