ok my site is down and i get a message this site has used max cpu usage.. i called my host and ask them whats wrong they saying ur database is overloading the server meaning its searching too much if it don't found some thing it keeps looking n looking for it.. he said optimize the tables n queries

any one know how to do this ?

thanks in advance... i have 3.7.3 atm installed and my db is arounfd159 mb and has around 30 mods installed in it.
