I'm paying around $3 for 100-octane. I think regular is somewhere around $2.30 - $2.50...don't really keep up with the low octane stuff as I refuse to run it in my car.

Sick of hearing this. When you have to drive 25+ miles every time you get in your car to go anywhere at all (including gas stations, grocery stores, and your work place) your complaints about having to pay more will stop falling on deaf ears. I'm also willing to bet a Wiimote that you have the option of public transportation which does not exist where I live.

General Lee (dukes of hazzard) - used to love that when i was a kid and i always wondered why they never opened the doors

In stock car racing (see
NASCAR) drivers enter and exit the car through the window because the car has a full roll cage. There is no need for a working door. I've always assumed the good-old-boys were just following suit as I think the General Lee had a full roll-cage built in to it.
That said, you can't bring up the General Lee without thinking about this song;
Quote:
Just the good ol' boys,
Never meanin' no harm,
Beats all you've ever saw, been in trouble with the law since the day they was born.
Straight'nin' the curve,
Flat'nin' the hills.
Someday the moutain might get 'em, but the law never will.
Makin' their way,
The only way they know how,
That's just a little bit more than the law will allow.
Just good ol' boys,
Wouldn't change if they could,
Fightin' the system like a true modern day Robin Hood.
