vb.org Archive - View Single Post - PHP in the template?

I'd like to have a "random album" appear in the "ad" section at the top of every page. The problem is, I don't want to have to go into the FTP and type up the PHP into every module. I'd rather just do it in a template...but the problem is, a random album code would require PHP & mysql, which I can do, but not in the "templates".

Do you have any other ideas on how to do this?
