Mosh,
in order to prevent 1 additional Query I'd use the following condition...

Code:

if (!in_array($vbulletin->userinfo,$banned_allowed_groups))

instead of using this condition...

Code:

if(!is_member_of($vbulletin->userinfo,$banned_allowed_groups))

This one saves 1 additional Query
