But the question is do you
trust your new owner not to go giving out ip addresses and other bits of privilaged informationwithout the members concent ?? Not sure if your in the UK but we have the data proctection Act with fines upto ?50,000 and 5 Years in prison for the worst offenders.
By using an IP Address you will not be able to pinpoint the exact "Living address" of each member and their Host or ISP can't and won't give anyone peoples addresses from those IP Addresses without a Court Order, again this comes under the data protection Act.
I really wouldn't worry too much, Can anyone else shed a bit of light on this mater??
