I was wondering if there was an application out there for VB that could encrypt files that are downloadable.

Here's the scenerio...

You have a website that specializes in content for mobile phones.
You upload the data files to a server
people download the data to their mobile devices

BUT... some people manage to steal your data files and repost them on another site

What I am looking for is a program to change the data file to an encrypted file that only the mobile device understands.

Example:

You upload a JAD File and several COD files to a server. The JAD file acts as the launcher of the COD files.

You direct mobile users to download the product on your website..

ex) www.mysite.com/coolfiles/myfile.jad

What I would like to see is the link transformed to something like this:

ex) http://www.mysite.com/coolfiles/akjs...slajflksjdfals

I know it can be done, as I have the same type of configuration for an online store that sends links to your mobile device as encrypted files...

Anyone know if this can be done with VB? Or maybe an addon that can be configured like attachments are? give the user 10-15 spots to upload the content and auto generate a downloadable link?
