Have you tried disabling your plugins to see if they work?
To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

sorry. I wasn't clear on order.

* I reverted all the templates first. (as recommended)
when that didn't work...

* so as per recommendatoin above:
I just tried disabling plugins ...but it didn't work either!!!

as of now:
-only works in FF
-not working in IE, maxthon, chrome and safari
