Does a hack like this exist?

I just want a little list for my sidebar of the currently logged in users, each linked to their profile.

My forums never have an extreme number of peopl elogged in, but maybe it would be smart to allow a person to choose how many people they want showing, before they get some kind of "more..." link to the full who's online page...

Anyone?
