Its a good Idea, but because there is no "Intro area" into the tournament information, I use a main headline banner-image followed by text, in the description, to make it more appealing to the members.

Suggestion: Perhaps an option to either disable it, or add a custom field in for a short description of text to add underneath the tournament name?

As Chris says just go into vbulletin options -> Tournament (at bottom of list) -> Description length => 0
