vb.org Archive - View Single Post - Switching to sub-domain

Is it possible to switch an install of vbulletin from sub-folder to sub-domain and preserve the pre-exisiting content?

In other words, my forum is currently installed in "www.mydomain/forum/" ... I want to change it to "http://forum.mydomain.com" If I do this, will it screw up the linking structure and old posts? Or is there a way to do this while preserving everything?
