Hi, I'm a long time IPB user who's always enjoyed being able to just edit the templates that came with ssi.php and having it drop topics out from my board to my homepage.

Just wondering if there's a way to do this with Vbulletin, either with like sql queries and grabbing threads out of a specific forum like Announcements or something.
For such an advanced system I couldn't believe my eyes when I couldn't find anything like this.
And yes. I've seen most of the news portals, I'm not looking for something with that much content, just basically news from a forum that I can specify by ID I'd assume.
