This one that I just added last night shows the members latest blog entry in the postbit: (Only downside to me is that it shows drafts too but otherwise I really like it.)

I also ditched the default link and made buttons.. one of which says "Member Blogs"... since I this the use of the blogs as gone up a bit (My board members aren't big on "Blogging" so I'm not sure how much it will ever be used). Anyway, I think the little link just wasn't being noticed and/or most members didn't realize it was for them to use, not just admin/mods.

I'm seriously considering installing this mod as well but since I'm also thinking of installing vBAdvanced I'm not sure it wouldn't then be redundant since I'd have the latest blogs showing there:
