Right now it's in beta and has been taken over by someone else to help it go Gold in the near future but I think it would be PERFECT to integrate with this mod. You can base points on "good posts" (view the mod to know what I'm talking about) and you can subtract points for people who have x number of thumbs down.

Just create a new award and put the userid(s) of the users seperated by a comma in the manual assign field.
The shop is working like you described - you get points by doing different stuff on forums and in the shop you can redeem the points.

You didn't copied the content of the upload folder to the root of your forum.
