I just uploaded the files, add the product and in the configuration the setup is:

Cycle Time: Monthly (tested weekly with the same results)
Specify the ID of the forum that will receive threads: 2
Which Post Must Be Considered For Nomination: Any
Allow user to nomination their own posts?: Yes
