Personally, I believe that the most important thing would be to separate actual addons that DO something, from template changes disguised as addons, just because they do the template change automatically or have some settings. I had made a thead somewhere about that, but it wasn't implemented.
Also, I think it would be useful to separate the "hi! this is my first mod and doesn't do much, but..." kind of stuff, from the other addons, although I can't think of a practical way to do so (there are some people's first mods that are actually useful).
I hate it when people say that, but I believe that the quality of the mods has dropped a lot, compared to 1-2 years before, or it just seems that way. I think the solution is some kind of a separation between the crap* and the useful stuff...

I just wanted to share my thoughts about this somewhere... Also, I am not implying that "my mods are good, others are crap", I have also released some crap mods from time to time

Please, lets not get into a fight about this, but lets try to get something useful for the community out of it... :/
