Do I need a dedicated server, or is it preferably to use a dedicated server for a vbulletin forum?

I have a forum on it's own domain, and my hosting provider is BlueHost - they promise apparently unlimited bandwidth and space , but not sure.

Now I just have a small 100 member user-base, but I anticipate a few thousand by the end of the year, do you all use dedicated servers or is a shared package enough which offers seemingly unlimited bandwidth data.
