Six of one. The fact that they created a product out of it is indeed "better". Beyond that, it's all down to individual design requirements, isn't it? Also, this is probably totally irrelevant but randominity's use of the word "Navbar" in that product confuses me. Where's the navbar part? (Not to debase the discussion - I'm genuinely curious).
Edit: In any case, I have no real investment either way. Just dug up a not-so-old solution used by many before me and wanted to pass it on.
