It totally depeneds what mods you have installed. Some will still work fine after upgrading, others won't.

Any mods you have installed that required manual template edits will probably need to be updated or re-done once you've upgraded.

Try searching on vborg for 3.7 versions of your current mods. By this point a lot of authors have released a 3.7 version, especially if it's a popular mod.
