Hi!
Great mod but I'm running into a problem where it appears that eBay is basically hijacking non-eBay links that have "ebay" in the url.
For example.. here's a link a member just posted as a copy and paste:
http://www.tamebay.com/2008/05/ebay-...ly-sooner.html
Here's what it looks like if I copy link (with my affiliate code XXXX'd out of course):
http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53...ly-sooner.html
With or without my ID it takes you to main eBay US page.
Is this perhaps part of eBay's geolocation thing (mentioned in this thread on page 15) and most importantly is there anyway to stop this "hijacking"? It's really annoying, not to mention a bit disconcerting, that when you click on a link to an "anti" eBay link it takes you to the one place you don't want to see ATM... eBay.
BTW this happening is not terribly uncommon on my board since it's for online sellers and buyers, many of whom are sellers on eBay and they often link to tamebay.com and other "anti" and "pro" eBay sites that use ebay in the url. Oh and FWIW I had your shoppingads mod on until recently and it did the same thing.
I really don't want to remove this mod.. it's perfect for my site over all (especially if eBay ever gets it ePN pulled together) but I don't want my members upset when this "hijacking" thing happens either.
If I missed this being addressed earlier I apologize.. I skimmed through quickly and didn't see anything but admittedly I'm not firing on all cylinders today (lack of sleep and a nasty cold).
Anyway, thanks for any help.. I truly appreciate it and all the work you've put into this.
