You get that when going to install/upgrade.php?

I would reupload all of the files again (except images)... Make sure that all files are overwritten and try again... Theres simply no reason you should be getting that error, at least that I can think of.

BTW: I find it interesting that it is even showing the end php tags ?> as well as code which has been commented out...
