Have you tried making a total default vb style and seeing if you still have this issue? (You should be able to view it by creating a new style with no parent and then clicking on the name of the style. That will open up your site using that style. You can go back to your old style by clicking on your style name in the Style Manager after testing out your site in the default style.)
