Does anyone use this for personalized greetings (welcome posts, etc) or standard e-mail responses?

In other words, is it being used for something other than for jokes?

(I'll be using it for jokes as well, but want to use it to my advantage for the good of the forum)

I'd like to use this in a PM that can be sent automatically to any new members. How would I do that?
