I know that to move to a subfolder i basically copy all of the files to that new folder iewww.mysite/forums and then change some config bits here and there and i am good to go

My problem is that i have about 4000 indexed pages and my ranking is quite important to me.

How the hell do i setup a 301 redirect for all of those pages? i cant face doing it manually there has to be another way possibly some sort of software which can help

i have been told this might work

Add the following line to your .htaccess file:

RedirectMatch ^/$ http://www.example.org/blog/

although i am not htaccess fluent so i dont know

any suggestions?
