most of them aren't advanced users like you and they don't know how to upgrade anything, the idea is to make the company to sell more upgrade packs, new computers and get new customers.

I don't know whether I have maybe misunderstood you, so correct me if I'm wrong, but driving sales by making users think they are using software which no longer works is hardly morally correct. Users can quite happily just upgrade their Internet Explorer for free or continue using it. Yes there are problems with it but they can be catered for. It doesn't seem right that you should be on using users that don't know much about computers and try to eek more money out of them.

P.S. Yes I know I should probably be helping you but I'd rather know I'm helping for a good reason. Also note the above represents my personal opinion only.
