I've upgraded my active forum to vB3.6.9. There were templates that needed reverted then re-adding the hacks. No biggie.

I have a testvb vB370RC2 forum snapshot I'm testing out. If you can hold on go with vB370 Gold when it's released. It offers a lot of new features; is well worth the wait for it.

But, as Bradley mentioned, just follow the vB upgrade instructions, granted the write-up on how to tweak the config.php is weak.
