I can't say how much is still left to be done, but looking at the code, it looks like a fairly large % is done.
For clarification you would need to ask Ed Sullivan, who is writing the script.
As for the times, it can take quite a long time. The developer has to first download the script (eg ikonboard), and install it somewhere. Then they have to make a few test posts etc to get a feel for how the system works. Then they have to find the data files (either in flat files or SQL databases), download them and examine the structure. Finally, they have to write the code to understand the structure and convert it, then test on boards of various sizes and configurations.
