well, its pretty simple;

new links in the stock UserCP are added through Jelsoft changing the template.


you have modified the template, so after an update the function 'find updated templates' returns the usercp_shell template as a template that needs to be edited or reverted.

if you do neither, the new links will not show, the icons stay where they are.

if you revert, the links show, but the icons disappear.

if you want both, you have to start editing (or wait for the update in this thread)



to have the new links showing through editing yourself, you would have to:

- find appropriate icons to display with the new link.

- upload the icon file to the misc folder

- add the code for the new link to your existing (modified) template, and mirror the selection of the image from the other entries in the template.
