Thanks,
Yes, the admin currently says the database, that is the problem... they are on the server at the moment....
They are all on the server in a folder.....
The posts show that the attachments are there, but they are not finding them...
My programmer can't find the file to let the admin know that were moved....

Basically I screwed this up and my programmer who normally does OS Commerce and is well versed in .php is trying to fix this for me...
He did the database stuff and I did the upgrades etc.....
Well, he thought I was upgrading the original forum and not the new forum on a new server... So I ugraded the wrong VB...
I will be closing the old forum, but it has been a big mess with the images being stored in the database - 2500 images... The export of the database was a big pain....
So we just emptied the attachment table in the old forum......
Then he imported the database on the new server....
So the first thing I did on the new server was switch from database to the server for attachments...
Everything went perfect... Attachments showed up fine...
Then I went ahead and did the upgrade to the newest version....
Everything was perfect and fine......
After much testing we decided to close the old forum - which had no attachments in the table and bring the most recent database to the new forum....
Then I had to upgrade the forum again... (I was told that is where I screwed up.)
But it was the only way to get back to square one....
Now I have an upgraded VB (registered of course) all of my attachments on the server and the admin still is thinking they are on the database, when they are not....
My programmer could probably explain it better...
But some where in the hard code, we should be able to make the switch....

As a side note, we can probably extract that table out, but with the upgrade, it changed the database and table structure - that table took over an hour to import, because it was so large... From a programmers persepctive, he would rather just change the code to make the file path recognized that the attachments are on the server.
