If my memory serves me correctly, vB doesn't have a feature like that but you can try this mod.

what it does is it loads the images and javascript 'resizes' it to your set size, whether it be a horizontal or vertical limit... it doesnt actually resize...it reduces the size...there is a bar at the top of each image which allows users to click and view the full size, whether it be in a new window, same window, same frame, etc. I currently use it as well on my board.
