This has probably already been suggested, but I think it would urge others to play...

Add to this that the player with the TOP score can be challenged by anyone else.. A kind of, "I challenge you to keep your score".. if the player doesn't play within 48 hours or so.. they auto-matically lose the top score... (Of course, if someone is going to be absent for the 48 hours they could 'buy' insurance ... cost of insurance (top score in one of the other games)...
Seems like a cheap way to outdo someone that has a bad day at the game.

While that is the Boxing type system of defending your title, anyone could simply just not play the game anymore and avoid risking losing there high score.

Even if you allowed challenges, in Boxing its about who wins, not how you played the game, so even if it was a close match with a lower high score if the champ still wins he still wins. So really, what's the point?

These are usually not the best games in any given arcade and they certainly aren't the most popular.... are just over very quickly. You will usually find 'Archery 2000', 'Copter', 'Yeti long shot'. and a few other that are always on the popular game list.

I believe a better way to determine the most popular games would be to use the total time played instead of the number of times the game has been played. This would make a more accurate popular games list. Perhaps an admin choice between the two methods?

Why wouldn't you go by User Ratings and have a function that orders the games in a list of highest rated. Therefore each community will determine what are the best games based upon the rating they give them.
