Dude, The Dark Knight goes back in time, and is a continuation of Batman Begins, and has nothing to do with the first movies. They're more seriously done...less family-friendly.

Btw, seven different actors have played Batman: Lewis Wilson in 1943's, Robert Lowery in 1949, Adam West in the 1966, Michael Keaton for the first few installments of Batman the Movies, to be replaced by Val Kilmer,George Clooney, and now, Christian Bale.
