You don't need a hack, just some good ole' HTML skills...Create a header to suit your forum size.

You just need to edit the header template. You can edit it by going to your AdminCP > Styles & Templates > Style Manager and then going to Common Templates under the custom style theme you are using.

Post the HTML within the  tags and experiment till you get it working properly.
