Thanks for the reply, nix! I'm enjoying this mod and appreciate your work very much.
In reviewing my notes (from our IM chat last year,) I see I added the following lines into the
headinclude template:
<script type="text/javascript" src="goldbrick/style/highslide.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="goldbrick/style/swfobject.js"></script>
The javascript must be included, because the mod (and highslide effects) are working, for the most part.
I think I am
thisclose to getting this working perfectly on my site. There are just a few visual glitches and site incompatibilities, listed below:
- I am testing in Safari on a Mac. The videos load and play fine. They don't seem to work for me in Firefox, however.
- The "You need to upgrade your Flash Player" message appears for some, but not all, videos. It disappears when I click the video's name and the highslided window pops up. Again, though, it only disappears for some, and not all videos.
- I've tested a few sites. YouTube and Viddler work fine. JumpCut does not... when clicked, a highslided window opens but a the window remains blank and nothing plays.
-YouTube videos get a thumbnail. Jumpcut, Viddler, AppleTrailers and more don't, but get a nice "M" logo. (That's fine.) But Google Video gets a "broken image" thumbnail, which I would love to fix.
-QuickTime Trailer videos appear outside of their box, and float
above any highslided videos I move near it. See below:
FWIW, I previously had highslide.js installed for attachment images, as well as an [imgh] BBcode. The highslide included with Goldbrick has replaced that, and I'm pretty sure I've pointed all references from the old highslide folder to the new one with Goldbrick. The highslide effect seems to still be working everywhere so I think I'm good on that front.
Anyway... happy to try anything you suggest. Also happy to create an admin and/or user account on my small (private) forum so you could check it out yourself. I'm really eager to transition from AnyMedia and AME and use GoldBrick exclusively... it's a really slick add-on and I know my users will love it!
