I believe your header went through hundreds of changes in the past 2 years. This is not good as it confuses your readers.

All I'm saying is that you need to stick with a design (at least for a whole year). Usability is not having to learn the navigation each time you visit a site.

you will probably continue to grow so I suggest an interface in which you can easily add without rewriting and confusing your members (again, and again, and again)


Right now, you have just the navbar.
I suggest a header and navbar links combo.

The header links can point to the main sections of the site (good for SEO). While the navbar can have optional links such as those for Registered members, informational sections, chat, etc.

other suggestions:
- create a simple portal with links to latest threads or highlighted threads (those with good keywords), etc
- rename 'database' to 'guitar'
- drop the '.org' from your logo (as you grow you will wish you did - brand is everything)
- Remove the 777 logo - it clutters the header
