You havent followed install instructions carefully. You were supposed to remove old chatbox files and uninstall the two products linked to it before installing the new product.
To correct that, remove old chatbox files and uninstall old chatbox and old mgc custom perms products.

Oh really ? That's strange, the way I have handled it should now fix it.
This is handled like quick edit or quick reply in ajax, do you encounter problems with those other vbulletin features ?

No no the mp command is meant to allow users to send each other private chat but only the receiver or emitter of the private chat can see it.
