I'm signing up to
constant contact as my new email newsletter provider, and after going through a very strict list cleanup I've decided to add a "opt in" option on the user options when people sign up. That way before I send out any emails in the future I can update my contact list.
Since "receiving emails from admins" is different than "sign me up to a newsletter", and a pre-checked box is considered bad business practice, I wanted to see how I can add a check box for people to "opt-in" to the mailing list when they sign up.
I can create new options and fields for user profile but I don't see any controls for me to modify the user email options.
Can anyone offer some tips and advise? Thanks.
