Just the screenshoot it's similar. vbNews has 10x features than vbJournal. Some of them:

Uses HTML Editor and not vbEditor. This has plus and minus. Everything is depending on admin's needs.
Has subcategories
Supports Attahcments, Chapters and/or Pagination for long articles like books or Tutorials
and others that really I can't remember right now. Don't forget that it's not a mod that I developed, so I can't remember it's features.

But everything is depending on your special needs. For example I'm designing our new site based on vbFJournal. I don't need subcategories, I don't need chapters etc etc.
