template edits have to be redone for most of the plugins you have installed because the most important upgrades in vBulletin 3.7 are linked to template edits... like the usual... if you do not reverse your templates, you will not be able to use the default options anymore.

most plugins are compatible with 3.7, only the template edits have to be re-done because you revert your edited templates to fit the new version.
