Having experience in law I'll tell you that vB.org is taking an intelligent and reasonable approach to protecting copyrighted works and more importantly this community. I just ran through Iconator.com's TOS and while it states that their service is free I didn't see anywhere that would suggest that the works available on the site are free for distribution. If there were such a provision, it would have been clearly stated in the TOS. The authors are attached to their works; Iconator.com does not own the works.

If you wanted to share, which you are encouraged to do here at vB.org, you could have linked to the site instead of uploading an avatar pack.
