Yes, ok. That wasn't quite what I meant. Let me be a bit more explicit.

What does the URL look like in your automated emails?
Is the URL in the Email split on more than one line?
Does the URL actually match the URL of your forum?

When you say "the link is dead", this would imply that the URL in the email is incorrect, or split. What error message do your users get from their browser?
