Specifying URL when using proxy
Hi all,
I have installed vBulletin on a seperate server from our website. It was set up on it's own virtual host, however we're using a proxy to make it appear to be part of our main website. The proxy should completely override the virtual host that vBulletin was originally set up on so it should never be seen.
My problem is that vBulletin sometimes detects the original "hidden" virtual host and redirects to it, such as when I log in to the AdminCP. Is there a parameter I can set somewhere or hack that will force it to always use the proxy URL?
I've tried the solution recommended in the post "Changing the login redirect URL", however this sends you to the same place weather you're logging in to the forum or trying to log into the AdminCP. In my case, I'm only having a problem when logging into the AdminCP. However I'm not sure if this would happen in other situations also.
We have done this with other systems such as MediaWiki. It provides a parameter $wgServer that allows me to specify the server URL to use and fixes this problem.
Thanks.
Erik
