Worst decision in Microsoft's history was to allow people to "upgrade" to Vista. Vista doesn't run on older stuff even though it will install. Just a big mistake. It should only be available with new hardware. Running it on new hardware is a dream. My computer rates as a 5.2 (mainly because of the processor) and I wouldn't recommend it on any hardware that rates less than a 3. Even my computer which isn't the best wasn't very expensive. Less than $900 out the door at Circuit City. Probably could have built better for lower cost but I find that I just don't want to spend the time constantly building and tweaking stuff anymore. Easier to just purchase it and be done with it.
