I've been in many discussions such as this one and this argument above may not necessarily hold water. If you (the admin) or a moderator come across a post with an image posted with the [img] tag and do nothing about it, knowing that most things posted are copyrighted, you can be held liable.
What you're doing here, by updating your copyright standards, is really playing the odds. You're betting with the bigger companies but betting against the smaller companies or individual authors. If you make known to the public of your copyright policies then do whatever you can to enforce them.
