Absolutely and sometimes its so bad 1 character = 2-3 seconds.

I was sure it was the state of the forum I had which was my first and had a slew of hacks installed and uninstalled and lots of different skins but then I opened the 3.6.8 forum just recently and its the same shit. Mind numbingly frustrating.
