I know this is getting out of the scope of this thread topic, but how many is too many forums to have for your average shared hosted vb install?

Or, actually, better question would be how many forums are too many in which you'll see a performance hit? And would too may forums cause a slow board in normal everyday operations?

I realize that a lot of this depends on server hardware, but I'm talking in general terms on a vb install with no hacks applied.
