i would make the first column as wide as the 2nd column. if your board is fixed-width, just make sure the 3 columns, including space between, dont overrun that width. if its a fluid-width board, make sure they are percentages, like 15%, 15%, 70% (play around to take into account the spaces between the columns)

as a personal touch, i'd move one of the columns to the right-side of the board, so there is a column on both sides instead of 2 on 1 side.
