Nope I think you have to edit the mgc_chatbox phrase in the phrase manager.

Then I think it's a problem coming from your host.

I experienced the same problem some time ago on the vb-hacks old host and we had problems with the accents.

This must be the same problem, but I bearly don't know how to correct that
