I would also like to see < and << as well as > and >> navigational options. If you wanna get really fancy you could always let people choose how many pages they want to display at once, before the break, similar to vbulletin, like this:

I don't particularly see much good on adding the arrows as you can directly click any number, but the removing the link of the current page was something I was going to do, but that's not easily done code wise, it would need more templates and checks to be done, also you can easily see in which page you are in the navigation breadcrumbs of the list of stations. But maybe someday.
