Samy, you are in no way 'held hostage' by using Zoints. Hundreds of forums have used Zoints for almost an entire year now (it will be once November is over) and we are very up front of what we expect from those who use the software and that is to honor the way we have it set up (with the network connection.) Should Zoints ever stop, the software would continue to function outside of the links to Community and other Zoints.com links. Like I said, Zoints isn't for everyone but we do our best to release quality additions to the forum community at a level of support higher than many paid products, and all we ask is for the mutual respect back.

Zoints Global is a different system from Local, with more interaction from Zoints.com and it was once available. While we are focusing on the next version of Zoints Local, we do plan to look into bringing Zoints Global back out so check on network.zoints.com for updates on that from time to time if interested.
